Melek Fetisleam: “During my STSM at Vienna University I had the
opportunity to use the excellent infrastructure of the NTAutonomy project
and to foster the theoretical knowledge about NTA as a historical and
contemporary minority protection tool. A great chance was to discuss my
project with the experts in the field and to underline the role of the non-
territorial arrangements and the emergence of the Tatar national movement, a
large interwar socio-cultural movement which promoted the identitary
discourse through cultural activities. It was an exceptional experience to
enjoy an international community of scholars and my intention is to valorise
all these acknowledgements in my future projects.”
