I used the DCG to attend the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES) Annual 2023 conference at the University of Glasgow, in Glasgow, United Kingdom. The conference was held from 31 March – 2 April 2023. My presentation focused on the emerging importance of the concept of non-territorial autonomy
(NTA) and envisaged theoretical considerations and recent practices. Within the presentation, I explained the importance of NTA, and its applicability related to the results gained through the work of the European Network on Non-Territorial Autonomy (ENTAN). The target audience was the academic community with pre-knowledge
about the political and socio-economic situation in Asian and East European states. The 2023 conference welcomed around 800 delegates from around the World. It was a multidisciplinary event, that gathered papers, panels, and roundtable proposals in the areas of politics; history; sociology and geography; film and media,
languages and linguistics; literature and cultures; economics. That opened the possibilities to further extend the aspects of NTA already discussed within ENTAN and move forward the boundaries of knowledge. My participation at the BASSES 2023 Conference contributed toward increasing the visibility of the ENTAN Action in the research community and opened prospects for further cooperation and exchange of experiences.
